It’s definitely a hot one out there! Stay hydrated & indoors if possible & follow these tips:

-If you haven’t already, replace your homes air filter. The AC will be working extra hard & a dirty filter can dramatically increase the chances of it breaking. 

-Draw your shades! Now, I like natural sunlight but on days like these, it’s best to draw the shades & save your AC from working too hard and freezing. Yea, that’s definitely a thing & it can happen. If it does, ya gotta turn it off & let it defrost. Not great. Draw the shades! 

-Let someone else doing the cooking tonight! Support a local business and keep your own house cool. Running the oven puts enormous strain on your AC, save yourself the hassle & go out! 

-Don’t walk your pets on sidewalks or streets in summer. You will burn their feet. Keep them on the grass and keep walks short. Spray them down with water before heading out & pay attention to warning signs of overheating, especially with younger dogs that are super active.
