After a rocky few months, interest rates finally decreased! The news came as a huge relief to buyers after week after week, month after month, of rising rates. Every time rates had increased, buyers were forced to rethink their price range and, in some cases, put off purchasing a home all together. And while it is still very much a seller's market (less then 6 months of inventory means it is a sellers' market and currently we have about 2 months of inventory available), discouraged buyers is never a good thing. So, last week it was reported that the rates actually dropped and buyers, sellers and Realtors across the land breathed a collective sigh of relief.
